SF Mayor 'Lee = Liar!'

On Monday, Mayor Ed Lee proved himself to be a first-class liar and someone not to be trusted to run San Francisco for a full four-year term. In the morning, he broke his oath to the citizenry to serve only as an interim mayor and filed papers with the Department of Elections to run in November.

Lee appeared in the evening on the stage of the Castro theater for his first debate with the other candidates, and my friend Gary Virginia and I stood outside beforehand to deliver a message: the mayor is a liar.

Lloyd LaCuesta of KTVU was there to cover the debate, and he shot some footage of us under the Castro marquee for his story. Here is an excerpt from it:



After our small protest, Gary went into the theater for the political fireworks and I stayed outside to cruise the Castro. Very happy to have sent a message to Mayor Lee and his supporters on his first day as a mayoral candidate. Let's do the city a favor and retire Ed Lee in November.
