SF Chronicle: U.S. Constitution Arrested!

Sure, this great "Bad Reporter" comic strip by Dean Asmussen is amusing, but given half a chance, you can be sure George W. Bush and his cronies would love to incarcerate the Constitution and throw away the key.

Click on the image to enlarge it. And keep reminding yourself, only two-and-a-half depressing years to go before Bush retires to his Crawford, Texas, ranch.

  1. You mean we can't itmfa?

But you know, "some people say" (!) one more terrorist attack and there won't be an election in 2008.

Thank goodness we have the Jon Benet Ramsay case resolved. Otherwise most Americans wouldn't be able to sleep at night after watching Dancing with the Stars. Know what I mean?

  2. Sorry to sound like an “over the top conspiracy theorist”, (that’s theorist NOT terrorist) but Bush has no plans of leaving office. He believes he is an 'inherent king” and that the U.S. belongs to him and the PNAC; not Americans. Civil Rights are an obstacle for him and his cartel – and he ardently believes they must be rescinded. After all a police state is a safe state….right??

He is grabbing for as much power as possible, marginalizing the Constitution and the judiciary branch, in order to make his coup d'état easier that’s all.

After all this is the man who said it would be much easier if he were the dictator and the Constitution is “just a goddamn piece of paper!”

Just ask yourself, if Bush refused to leave the office, who would remove him??

Better start thinking about this now……
